The origin of the estate dates back to the Gallo-Roman times with the ruins of a villa discovered when the land was initially developed. In 1989, Mr Maurice Garrassin, enthralled by the beauty of the place, purchased the property, and undertook its renovation into a 28-hectare-estate.
Since 2001, his children Geneviève and Norbert have continued their father’s work and have led the Domaine Saint Julien further along the road to success. The vines are cultivated with the greatest respect of the environment, maintaining traditional expertise, and guaranteeing wines of elegance and character, year after year.
In the spirit of reconciliation Small Story Merchants acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
